Rock lovers swear by the name of Linkin Park, one of the most popular rock bands in the music industry today. People across ages and countries connect with them. It was established in 1996 in Agoura Hills, California. It was earlier called as Xero when it had Mike Shnoda, Brad Delson, Rob Bourdon and DJ Joseph Hahn as its band member. But one of the co-brand members Phoenix dropped out of the band and Chester Bennington joined him, the band was rechristened as Linkin Park. It is a very popular park in the hometown of the band.     

Their debut album was Hybrid Theory which was nominated for Grammy Awards brought them to lime light. This album has been certified by RIAA as Diamond in 2005. In 2003, they came out with Meteora which was a huge hit among rock music enthusiasts and was promoted through various concerts. Midnight to Midnight is their latest album which explores a new genre of music and is quite different from the earlier albums.     

Their hit singles like ‘One Step Closer’, ‘In the End’, ‘Crawling’, ‘Session’ and ‘Runaway’ are huge hits and topped the Billboard Top 100 for many weeks breaking music records.     

The band is inspired by Deftones, The Roots, Aphex Twin and Nine Inch Nails. They have a very close relation with their fans because they perform live for them in the various concerts ad tours. They have opened various concerts with P.O.D and Papa Roach which were very successful. They use drum pads, turn tables and samplers live on the stage which gives every act a free and new appeal.     

Linkin Park’s latest concert has been the Projekt Revolution. It is a very new concept of concerts in which the bands hand picked by Linkin Park performs together on one stage. This concert is a melting pot of various forms of music like R n B, Hip Hop, Pop and Rock. The concert is divided as Main stage and Revolution Stage. Linkin Park have performed with artistes like Taking Back Sunday, My Chemical Romance, Snoop Dog, less then Jake, Ghost Face, Korn and Placebo. This has given a new platform to new artistes to perform and showcase their talent and with the backing of Linkin Park; they can really expect good response.    

Another best part about Linkin Park’s Projekt Revolution is that it has tied up with Music for Relief to make these concerts an environment conscious effort. Moreover, it was also decided that Projekt Revolution and Music for Relief will donate $1 from the sale of each ticket to the American Forests for their Global ReLeaf Program which is for planting more trees to counter global warming. Linking Park has been in news for their charity concerts and shows.     

These Linkin Park concerts were held across America and got good opening. It covered cities like Florida, California, New Jersey, Hartford, Bristow, Toronto, Tampa, Dallas, Atlanta, Charlotte, Phoenix and Virginia Beach. The next concerts are lined up and soon announcements will be made regarding them.
